The second episode of the podcast series, "Philosophy of Taxation".

24th September 2024

We have now published the second episode of a podcast dedicated to tax issues on our "Philosophy of Taxes" channel on YouTube. This time, Paweł Kossecki together with Magdalena Teclaw discussed issues related to digital trends that can currently and in the future assist tax processes. They also talked about our new IT tool for benchmarking analysis.

Technological developments, especially the ubiquity of artificial intelligence, can be an opportunity for a wide variety of law firms, including, of course, tax adviser firms.

In this episode, Paul and Magda sought to answer the questions:

  • What technological challenges have taxpayers and tax authorities faced in recent years?

  • How do technological changes currently affect the day-to-day work of tax advisers?

  • What are the pros and cons of the changes in tax return automation over the last 5 years?

  • How might developments in artificial intelligence affect tax returns?

  • What are the issues to watch out for when using artificial intelligence?

The implementation of many interesting and useful innovations in the modern world is becoming more common every day. For several years now, there has been a legal provision that allows entrepreneurs to deduct credits dedicated to innovation and development activities, i.e. R&D credits, Innovation Box credits, Innovative Worker credits, as well as expansion credits. These, as well as other tax solutions, are not yet well known in the business community not only in Poland, but also abroad. They can bring many benefits to businesses, from encouraging their owners to innovate in their ventures to reducing costs from such activities.

In addition, the meeting will discuss conducting benchmarking analysis using a new proprietary IT tool. Benchmarking analysis is extremely important for entities preparing transfer pricing documentation (except for micro and small companies), as it is a mandatory part of this process. An efficient and intuitive tool can support companies that perform such analysis.

From the meeting you will get to know:

  • what is the essence and importance of reliefs supporting innovation in companies

  • what are the examples of types of innovation in companies eligible for reliefs

  • what are the advantages of accounting for reliefs

  • what innovations can be introduced in a tax consulting firm

  • how to practically and successfully use modern IT tools in a tax consulting firm for benchmarking analysis.

Conference of the Departments of Finance in Poznan

14th September 2023
As part of the Conference of Finance Faculties held at the Poznan University of Economics, the President of our company - Pawel Kossecki presented the functionality of the benchmarking program created by us. The program is an example of the application of science, i.e. financial analysis and statistics in practice. Benchmarking analyses are prepared obligatorily by entities preparing transfer pricing documentation.
In our opinion, benchmarking is such a useful method that it can also be successfully applied to unrelated companies for the purpose of assessing profitability or financial forecasting. The tool designed by us can be used by financial and controlling departments, as well as by the Board of Directors for business decision-making.
